I've jumped off officially... Fun Monday

I've been reading all these new blogs lately that I found through my friends Jerri and Jenn. They've been participating in all these fun group postings and so I'm jumping in too. I hope y'all don't mind me piggybacking, so here goes!

It's Fun Monday and this week's host is Mariposa over at Mariposa's Tales. Want to learn more about Fun Mondays? Check out the Complete List and read the history Here.

Today's Questions are 1) What's in a Name? and 2) What's on your Plate?

1) Jenn's Inklings... It's really quite simple, I love my papercrafts and settled on scrapbooking for a while. The blog was called Tale of a Mad Scrapper for a while... then I found my love of rubberstamping and became a demonstrator for Stampin' Up! and changed it to Jenn Stamps for a while, and then realized that I do more talking than actual stamping so Jenn's Inklings came to be. I think this one fits me oh so much better... I'm a talker, love to tell stories, love my crafty habits, and can often be found up to my elbows in ink, literally. I mean, who's ever seen a pristinely clean handed crafter? :o)

2) Well... on my plate last night was a recipe I got from a new show on the Food Network. I've been addicted to the Food Network for years, and happen to be married to a chef, so it works. I love trying new recipes as long as they are easy to prepare and I can get the ingredients at my local grocery. So, last night I tried Get Yo Man Chicken from Down Home with the Neely's. Yep, I think it's one of my new favorites, the dish And the show! I just wish that I would have snapped a pic of my plate before diving in. DH liked it too... so I guess I'll be Keeping my Man with this dish in the rotation!

Some of my Favorite foods tend to be soups and stews. (Wow... I never really thought about it until I looked over this list. The things you learn.) Hot and Sour Soup, Crab/Lobster Bisque, Homemade Chili, Homemade Beef Stew, and Curried Pumpkin Soup. I can also appreciate a good Burger, a nicely cooked Steak, and a plate of BBQ when the mood strikes. Oh, and let's not forget that sweet tooth! Cake, Pie, Cookies, yeah... I didn't get all this junk in my trunk by eating like a rabbit.

So, now I'm off to add my name to the Mr. Linky thingie and officially join this thing! Have a Fun Monday Y'all!

Can't Help Lovin' That Man of Mine!

Just had to share the goodies that the Hub brought home to me tonight... Just Because...

Not just one, but the FOUR PACK! Yay!

And some Hilarious "Wifey" type stickers!

Yep, He's a good egg, and I'm a lucky woman.

Gotta get you one of These!!

Yesterday morning on my way home from work I stopped by our local Rip-Em-Off Gas Station to get DH his morning "sippie" (aka. Diet Pepsi, I swear the man Lives for this stuff!). So what do my wandering eyes spot? This....

Well, of course I was all a fluster! I mean, it's Sunkist, and it's a Float, and it's in a way cool shaped bottle! Needless to say, I sped home to get him to open the beer type twist off cap (ok... so I'm a twist off weenie!) and in mere moments it was gone...

*Sigh* Yep, it was that good. I'll even dare to say that it was the best Orange Dreamsicle drink type thingie I've ever had. So everyone run out and get you one!

Snow Day!!!

As you all know... I live in the Heart of Dixie... Smack dab in the middle of the great state of Alabammy. So snow is a BIG thing here! One news station had reporters out all morning trying to find these elusive flakes, there were children laying on the dusted ground trying their very best to make snow angels, scooping up scant handfuls of the white stuff to toss at each other, and doing their version of a "snow dance" trying to keep it coming down. It seemed to be a happy Saturday morning for many of the locals, and I must say that I did spend my fair share of time gazing out the window and reminiscing of snow days past. Most of all, I was glad not to be stuck at work sleeping on a hard hospital floor and lounged on the couch in my jammies wrapped in my new fleece blankie (Thanks Jilly!) snug as a bug in a rug. I did venture out to the deck and front porch to snap a few pics of my nearly 1/4" before it was gone. Good thing I did... about an hour after the last flake fell, our Snowy Saturday was nothing but wet ground once again. *Sigh*

This little squirrel certainly didn't seem to like the extra cold power lines! He was moving FAST!

Thank You Jilly Jill for our new warm blankies!
My kitty cat throw certainly was nice to have today!
And what's a Snow Day without a good bowl of chili! Yum!

The Icing isn't always ON the cake!

Here I lay again, this time I'm at Mom & Dad's for a visit using some poor neighbor soul's wireless access. This night blogging thing may become a habit if I keep it up! Every thing's fine here for those of you that are keeping up with the parental happenings. OK, so anyway, I was looking through the photos I posted of the Crop 2 Help Retreat and saw that I had left out one very important person... Jenn T.

So, here she is in all her Princess-ly glory with me and Tracy flanking her.

Anyway, I mention her for more than one reason... I got this Lovely little card in the mail yesterday with her version of this picture and another one. Don't you just LOVE when you get a mailbox full of cheer?!?!? So, I was donating some cards I've been hoarding to give her and her daughter to sell to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research, and I missed the post office yesterday. It just so happens that Jenn lives right on the way up here so I got to see her this morning to give her the cards... what does she have in her hand but Birthday Cake Icing for Lil Ole me to nibble at during my trip! I'm telling y'all, there must be some kind of psychic connection here cause last night while I was talking with her and she said she was making birthday cakes, I was thinking how nice it would be to stick my finger in that icing and have a taste. And thanks to her, this morning I did just that! LOL! Yep, I think we were meant to be friends! By the way Jenn... the Cakes looked very Spectacular and the icing was YUMMY! THANK YOU for my little Sunday treat!
And on a little different note... If you know me well at all, you know I call my vehicle the "Rubber Duck Truck" and I do have a sort of affinity for all things rubber ducky so I Could Not pass up the opportunity to do this! Read On!

Meet Ms. Sheralee Quacksalot... I created her over at Munchkin.com for their Project Pink campaign. Munchkin will donate a nickel for each time she's forwarded. Click on her picture, see where she's visited so far and then send her off to her next destination to help with Breast Cancer Research! Maybe even create your own duck to send on a mission for a cure!

Alrighty, JV Unit 1 signing off until tomorrow! Nighty Night!
